Career
Young Stunners (YS) is a Karachi-based hip-hop duo formed in 2012 by Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, with music production primarily handled by Jokhay and Umair.
The duo first gained attention on YouTube with their debut track, "Burger-e-Karachi," which offered a satirical critique of Karachi’s westernized elite. They followed up with other hits, including the popular 2021 PSL anthem "Groove Mera" and their music video for "Afsanay", which further solidified their place in Pakistan’s mainstream music scene. Their performance at the 2021 Pakistan Day Parade also contributed to their widespread recognition.
Young Stunners are credited with popularizing Urdu rap and introducing it to a larger audience, making it an integral part of Pakistan’s music scene.
Over the years, the duo has collaborated with several prominent Pakistani artists, including Asim Azhar, Bohemia, Rap Demon, Raamis, Aima Baig, Naseebo Lal, JJ47, Hasan Raheem, and Faisal Kapadia, as well as Indian artists such as Seedhe Maut and KR$NA.
The group was formed on July 2, 2012, and both Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, who grew up together in Karachi, attended Army Public School, Saddar. They started their music career by releasing songs like "Maila Majnu" and quickly gained popularity. In 2017, they released their debut album, "Rebirth".
Their success continued with notable collaborations, such as the 2020 track "Tum Tum" with Asim Azhar, Shamoon Ismail, and Raamis, and the 2021 promotional track "Why Not" for Pepsi. In 2022, they worked with Faisal Kapadia on "Phir Milenge", the final track of Coke Studio Season 14.
