Career
Soch (Urdu: سوچ) is a renowned pop and Sufi rock band from Lahore, Pakistan, consisting of two talented members – Adnan Dhool (vocals) and Rabi Ahmad (guitars). The band was founded by lead vocalist Adnan Dhool in 2010, and they made their debut in 2011 with their first single, "Bandeya."
In 2012, Soch gained recognition through their appearance in Nescafé Basement Season 1. Their breakthrough came in 2014 when their critically acclaimed track "Awari" was featured in the Bollywood blockbuster Ek Villain, earning them international acclaim.
In an interview with ARY Digital, Rabi Ahmad revealed that he first met Adnan Dhool in 2011 when Dhool was searching for a session guitarist for a concert. After performing together, their collaboration evolved, and Rabi officially joined the band.
Under the mentorship of Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi) through Nescafé Basement, Soch released several iconic tracks, including "Awari," "Bol Hu," and "Uth Jawana." Their hit single "Bol Hu" was later featured as the title track in the Bollywood film Malang (2020).
Beyond Bollywood, Soch has composed music for various Pakistani films, including Sherdil, Chupan Chupai, Dekh Magar Pyaar Se, and Verna.
In October 2021, they released the music video for their single "Tera Deewana", which garnered over 1 million views within a day. Later, they joined the lineup for Coke Studio Season 14, releasing the collaborative track "Neray Neray Vas" with Butt Brothers in February 2022. Additionally, on December 18, 2021, the band produced Ahmad Taha Ghani's debut track, "Tu Mil Jaye Tou."
