Mustafa Zahid (born December 18, 1984) is a renowned Pakistani music composer and singer, best known for his 2007 breakthrough singles "Toh Phir Aao" and "Tera Mera Rishta." As the lead vocalist and band leader of Roxen, a celebrated rock band formed in 2004, Mustafa has left an indelible mark on the South Asian music industry.
Born in Lahore, Mustafa hails from a family deeply rooted in music. He is the nephew of Ali Azmat, the legendary former lead vocalist of Junoon, and also shares a familial connection with the late Inayat Hussain Bhatti, a revered Sufi singer, actor, and producer. Although singing wasn't initially part of his plans, a spontaneous performance of "Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein" during a college event sparked his passion for music, setting him on the path to becoming a celebrated vocalist.
Mustafa Zahid rose to international fame in 2007 when two of his tracks were featured in the Bollywood blockbuster Awarapan. Since then, he has delivered numerous hit songs for Bollywood movies, including memorable tracks in films like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. With a Spotify following exceeding 5.5 million, he is among the top three most-followed Pakistani artists on the platform.
Under Mustafa's leadership, Roxen released their debut album, Roxen-E-Dewaar, in 2006, which dominated South Asian music charts for over six weeks. The album's Indian release followed in 2008. With global recognition and a contract with Universal Music for their upcoming album, Roxen remains one of Pakistan's most influential rock bands.
