Career
Farhan Saeed (born September 14, 1984) is a Pakistani singer-songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur, widely recognized as the former lead vocalist of the famous Pakistani band Jal. In addition to his music career, Saeed is the owner of Cafe Rock, a popular restaurant in Lahore. His musical journey spans across Urdu and Punjabi languages, and he has earned recognition for both his music and acting. Farhan made his acting debut in 2014 with the drama De Ijazat Jo Tu, and his breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed drama Udaari, earning him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Hum Awards. He further gained widespread fame through his roles in Suno Chanda (2018), Suno Chanda 2 (2019), and Mere Humsafar (2021-22), with Suno Chanda winning him the Hum Award for Best Actor Popular. Farhan also made his film debut with Tich Button in 2022.
Born in a Punjabi Kashmiri family, Farhan was drawn to music at an early age, listening to bands like Vital Signs and Junoon. After completing his A-levels and studying Computer Science, he formed the band Jal with Atif Aslam and Goher Mumtaz. In 2011, he left Jal to pursue a solo career, making waves in Bollywood with songs like Naam-e-Wafa from Creature 3D (2014). Saeed also has notable collaborations with artists like Aima Baig, Adnan Qazi, and Hania Aamir.
Farhan has also tried his hand at direction, making his directorial debut with the music video for O Jaana in 2018. He married actress Urwa Hocane in 2016, and in 2023, the couple announced their pregnancy, welcoming their first child, a daughter, named Jahan Aara Saeed, in January 2024.
