Career
Bilal Saeed was born in Sialkot, Punjab, into a Punjabi Muslim Syed family. He began his career as a composer and writer, gaining attention with his debut single "12 Saal" in 2011, followed by "Adhi Adhi Raat" (also known as the Oooo meme song) in 2012.
Career Highlights
In 2012, Bilal Saeed released his debut album "Twelve", which earned him two nominations at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards for Best Non-Resident Punjabi Album and Best Non-Resident Punjabi Vocalist. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Dr Zeus, Amrinder Gill, and Fateh. One of the album's tracks, "Khair Mangdi", was nominated for Song of the Year at the 13th Lux Style Awards.
In 2013, Bilal recorded his first film songs for the Punjabi movie Daddy Cool Munde Fool, including "Tauba Tauba" and "Rattan Chitian". In 2014, he released the single "Lethal Combination" with Roach Killa, which topped the BBC Asian Charts. That same year, he composed the tribute song "Maan" in memory of the victims of the tragic Peshawar Attack.
Bilal's music continued to make waves internationally. In 2015, his song "Kaash (A Wish)" topped the iTunes Chart, and he made his Bollywood debut by composing the soundtrack for Ishqedarriyaan alongside Jeet Ganguly and Jaidev Kumar. He released the hit single "Paranday" in 2016, followed by "Blah Blah Blah" featuring Punjabi rapper Young Desi. A remake of his track "Khair Mangdi" appeared in Karan Johar’s Bollywood movie Baar Baar Dekho in 2016.
Bilal Saeed made his Lollywood debut in 2016 by composing the song "Chulbul" for the Pakistani film Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay. In 2017, he released several popular singles, including "No Makeup", featuring Bohemia, and "Twinkle Twinkle", featuring Young Desi. Later in 2017, he released "Suroor" with Neha Kakkar.
In 2019, Bilal released "Baari" featuring Momina Mustehsan under One Two Records, and followed up with the sequel "Uchiyaan Deewara" in 2020, further solidifying his presence in the music industry.
